We at First Congregational United Church of Christ strive to be a caring Christ-centered community of faith.

We have “Coffee Time” for visiting over refreshments before and following the Worship Service. Please join us!

Sunday School classes ( ) take place before worship each Sunday. We have children's Sunday School and two adult study groups. Children's classes begin at 9:15. Adult studies begin at 9:30.

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month and on selected special days. Gluten-free/wheat-free communion wafers are available for those who need them. On alternating months we celebrate communion by intinction (come forward and dip the bread in the cup) and pew communion (the bread and cup are brought to the congregation, who remain seated). We practice open communion, which means anyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion. This welcome is extended to children, too.

Children are welcome in our service! There are children's activity packets in the back of the sanctuary. We have an attended nursery, too, and children under the age of 5 are welcome to be in the nursery for all or part of the service. A Cry Room is located in the northwest corner of the sanctuary. We also have a special Children's Time during the worship service.

Our church building is accessible. We have recently installed an automatic door opener so that individuals with physical disabilities may enter the building more easily. There are no stairs in the public spaces of this building. Large print bulletins are available. Fully accessible restrooms are located in Grabill Hall.
