Lewis and Tibbitts, inc. is a San Jose, CA based contractor that specializes in trenching and excavating for the installation of water mains, gas and electrical systems, communication lines, and street lights. Our business strategy enforced since inception of the company is to complete every job on time and within budget. Since our inception in 1973, over 40 years, Lewis & Tibbitts has been in the underground construction industry working with the biggest utility companies, private developers, and various government entities throughout the Bay Area. Due to our accountability and perseverance, we have successfully maintained excellent relationships with our customers.

Our services include comprehensive installation of all types of underground utilities including electrical, telecommunications, water, sewer, storm drains. We also have an in-house paving crew experienced in installing all types of asphalt restoration.

As a Union contractor, Lewis and Tibbitts is proud to have a highly qualified and experienced field staff of laborers and operators. The safety of our employees and the community is one our highest priorities and key part of our success. We provide extensive training for excavation best practices and general jobsite safety.
