Maverick Fine Western Wear was established in 1987, and is located in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Our 1905 building is located on the corner of North Main and Exchange. Over that time, it has housed numerous colorful enterprises, but it has always been known as the Maverick. Today, patrons of the Maverick can "belly up" to the bar, relax and have a cold beer while in the Stockyards; just like they did in the days of the big cattle drives. While you're enjoying that cold one, you can look around and shop in one of the best western boutiques this side of the Mississippi.
The Maverick is featured in Tyler Beard's book, 100 Years of Western Wear, as one of the best places to shop to find top quality western items. We carry a wide variety of products that enhance the western lifestyle and feature most of the top brands in men and women's apparel and accessories. The Maverick also offers the best quality of custom made hats, boots and jewelry; as well as the finest in leather and fur coats for men and women.
There is even a great selection of infant's and children's clothing and accessories. We also carry a large collection of home and gift items that everyone is sure to love.
Shopping at the Maverick is unique because we offer more than just top-of-the-line western merchandise in a building that is as beautiful as it is historic. We provide great customer service. Our staff is of the finest in Texas. You can bet your boots that if there is anything we can do to help you, we're gonna do it. If we can't, then we'll find someone that can.
Our combination of ambiance, value, and consistent service has given us an excellent and wide-spread reputation, which has attracted a stellar clientele. They have included Loretta Lynn to Eric Clapton, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Pat Green to Dan Aykroyd.
